The Communication Monitor is the VR3 icon in the Top left of the main window under the word File. | |

The monitor animation indicates the status of the Infra Red link. | |

This icon means that communication is disabled. | |

To open the com port
and enable communication select File \ Enable Comms | |

This icon means Prodive is listening for a VR dive computer | |

Put the VR dive computer in PCLink
mode. It is safe to rest the IR adaptor on the case. | |

Position the IR
adaptor over the VR3 lettering on the screen. Hold the IR adaptor at 90 degrees to the case. | |

Position the IR
adaptor towards the bottom right hand corner on later model VR3 (clips
visible around the buttons). Hold the IR adaptor at 90 degrees to the case. | |

Position the IR adaptor to the left of the VR2 horizontal with the case. | |

This icon means the PC is receiving infra red. Prodive has not yet decided that the infra red message is coming from a VR dive computer. | |

When Prodive is certain that infra red messages are coming from a VR dive computer the icon animation changes to a series of red bars. This indicates that communication is steady. You are now ready to download dives and upload gas profiles. |
